2026 Tree Day!

Join The Hickman County Soil & Conservation District for Tree Day on March 20, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, or until the last tree is given away. The event will take place at the Centerville USDA Service Center, located at 124 Progress Center Plaza, Centerville, TN 37033.

Trees will be available for $1.00 each and are being provided by the Hickman County Soil & Conservation District. Available tree varieties include Water Oak, Pecan, and Bald Cypress.

This is a great opportunity for our community to plant trees and support conservation efforts.

Job seekers with disabilities, families, and community members in Hickman County are invited to explore employment resources and supportive services at a free, one-day event. This career fair is hosted by the Division of Rehabilitation Services and partner agencies dedicated to helping Tennesseans achieve stability and success. No registration is required.

East Hickman Community Center Easter Egg Hunt!

Spring is just around the corner, and the East Hickman Community Center is ready to celebrate! 🌷

Visit the Community Center on Saturday, March 28th at 8:00 AM at 5387 Hwy 100 in Lyles for an epic Easter Egg Hunt! There will be thousands of eggs hidden containing candy and some with cash prizes! Don’t miss a special chance for little ones to visit with the Easter Bunny while parents snap a photo.

This event is free and open to everyone, so gather the family, invite your neighbors, and come enjoy a fun morning together.

Community Drive Thru Baby Shower

The Community Drive-Thru Baby Shower will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at East Hickman Middle School in Lyles. This special event welcomes pregnant women, new moms, breastfeeding mothers, fathers, and caregivers of children up to one year of age.

The event will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM CT at East Hickman Middle School, 9414 E Eagle Dr., Lyles, TN 37098. In the event of rain, the make-up date will be April 11 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Miss Merry Christmas Beauty Pageant

Join us for the annual Miss Merry Christmas Beauty Pageant! Contestants of all ages will shine in categories from Baby Snowflake to Ms. Silver Bells, plus the special Mother/Daughter division, Ms. Bows & Bells.

Pageants begin at 11:00 AM and run throughout the afternoon, with opportunities to compete for extra titles such as Best Smile, Best Hair, Best Dress, and Best Eyes.

Entry fees: $35 if registered by October 25, or $45 up to one hour before your pageant time. Admission is just $5 for adults, $3 for K–12 students, and free for children 4 and under.
