Free Webinar For New Business

Attention, new business owners!

Join the Department of Revenue on Wednesday, July 9 at 8:30 Central time for a free webinar designed for new businesses.

Participants will learn about state tax obligations for new businesses in Tennessee and other resources that may help their businesses. Each new business webinar, offered quarterly, covers topics such as tax registration, sales and use tax, business tax, franchise and excise taxes, and how to get help from the Department of Revenue and other relevant state agencies.

The Department of Revenue is responsible for administering state tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws, and collecting taxes and fees associated with those laws. The department collects about 87 percent of total state revenue. During the 2024 fiscal year, it collected $22.2 billion in state taxes and fees and more than $4.7 billion in taxes and fees for local governments. OneGenAway Mobile Food Pantry - Free Grocery Distribution

OneGenAway is returning to Hickman County, Tennessee, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, to offer a free grocery distribution to community members in need. A full grocery cart of food will be available with no questions asked—just show up, and food will be provided.

This event is made possible through a partnership with Rotary District 6760, whose support has helped bring this pantry to the community.

Volunteers are essential to making the mobile pantry a success. Those interested in helping can arrive at 7:30 a.m. to assist with setup, food distribution, and providing support to families in need. Everyone is welcome to contribute—your time will make a significant impact on the community.

NASA Powerlifting for the Tennessee State Regional Championship Powerlifting Competition

We are thrilled to announce that Eric Spence, esteemed local gym owner, is bringing the Tennessee State Powerlifting Championship to Bon Aqua, TN. This esteemed competition transcends mere weightlifting, instead emphasizing dedication, perseverance, and camaraderie among athletes on their fitness journey. Following a chance encounter with Rich Peters from NASA at the Kentucky Nationals last year, Coach Spence and Mr. Peters collaborated to expand powerlifting's presence in middle Tennessee. We are pleased to announce that The Spence Family Fitness Center will host the Tennessee State Championship Powerlifting Competition, presented by NASA Natural Athletic Strength Association. Join us for this momentous event!
